BJP Leader CT Ravi Demands CBI Inquiry into Karnataka Valmiki Corporation Case

Date:

BENGALURU – BJP leader CT Ravi has called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the Karnataka Valmiki Corporation case, alleging misuse of SC/ST funds amounting to Rs. 187 crores.

Ravi criticized the government’s dismissal of the issue, stating, “Even after the misuse of the SC/ST fund, the government says that it is not that serious. They don’t think it is serious even after the misuse of Rs. 187 crores.”

He further demanded the resignation of Minister B Nagendra, suggesting that influential figures might be involved in the scam. “I think huge names are behind this scam. The inquiry should be given to the CBI. Everything would be out in the open,” Ravi said.

The BJP leader questioned why the case, which he described as a multi-state scam, had not been handed over to the CBI. “Can the SIT go to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and conduct a free inquiry? The CBI can do that,” he argued.

Ravi also implicated the Chief Minister in the case, stating, “It has all happened under the blessing of the CM.”

He announced that protests demanding Nagendra’s resignation and a CBI inquiry into the case would commence after June 6. “Minister B. Nagendra should resign. After June 6, we will protest demanding the resignation and giving the inquiry to the CBI,” he declared.

The BJP leader’s comments have intensified the political debate surrounding the Karnataka Valmiki Corporation case, with the opposition demanding transparency and accountability from the government.
