Vande Bharat Express Launches New Route: Connecting Kochi to Bengaluru

The Indian Railways has officially inaugurated its latest Vande Bharat Express service, enhancing travel options between Kochi and Bengaluru. As of today, this high-speed train begins its new route, providing a state-of-the-art travel experience for passengers along the Ernakulam to Bengaluru corridor.

The newly launched Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will run three times a week, offering a significant improvement in travel time and comfort. The train is scheduled to depart from Ernakulam Junction at 12:50 PM and is expected to reach Bengaluru by approximately 10:00 PM. On the return leg, it will leave Bengaluru Cantt at 5:30 AM and arrive back in Ernakulam by 2:20 PM the same day. The train’s route will include key stops at Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, and Salem.

The service will be operational on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Ernakulam to Bengaluru, with return trips on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays. This new schedule is particularly geared towards accommodating the needs of the large number of IT professionals and business travelers moving between the two major cities.

The Vande Bharat Express is renowned for its modern amenities and efficient design, promising passengers a premium travel experience. Ticket prices are set at approximately ₹1,465 for an AC Chair Car and ₹2,945 for an Executive Chair Car seat for the journey from Ernakulam to Bengaluru. Bookings for this new service can now be made through the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

This addition to the Vande Bharat Express network represents a major enhancement in connectivity between Kerala and Karnataka, facilitating smoother and faster travel across this vital economic corridor. The new train service is expected to be a game-changer for commuters, making travel between these bustling cities more convenient and enjoyable.
