NDA MPs from Assam Express Appreciation to PM Modi for Key Developments

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and other NDA Members of Parliament from Assam met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in Delhi to extend their heartfelt thanks for several important initiatives and support provided by the central government.

During the meeting, the MPs conveyed their gratitude for the following significant achievements:

  1. Flood Relief for Assam: The MPs praised the central government for the substantial flood assistance announced in the recent budget. This aid is intended to support the state’s flood management efforts and provide relief to affected communities.
  2. Charaideo Moidams’ UNESCO Listing: The MPs expressed their appreciation for the UNESCO World Heritage Site designation of the Charaideo Moidams. This recognition is expected to enhance the preservation of Assam’s historical and cultural heritage, drawing greater attention to its historical significance.
  3. Semiconductor Plant in North East: They also highlighted the establishment of the North East’s first semiconductor plant, which is set to boost the region’s technological capabilities and create economic opportunities through advanced manufacturing and innovation.
  4. Guwahati Ring Road Project: The approval of the Guwahati Ring Road was another key point of gratitude. This major infrastructure project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in the Guwahati metropolitan area, improve urban mobility, and support regional development.

Union Minister Sonowal and his colleagues thanked PM Modi for his leadership and for facilitating these projects, which they believe are crucial for Assam’s progress. They acknowledged the Prime Minister’s role in driving these initiatives and the positive impact they will have on the state.
