PM Modi Highlights Government’s Efforts for Women’s Safety and Justice on International Women’s Day

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to women’s safety, emphasizing stricter laws, fast-track courts, and digital complaint systems to ensure swift justice.

Speaking at a massive gathering in Vansi Borsi village, Navsari district, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, PM Modi highlighted the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which replaced the colonial-era Indian Penal Code (IPC). He stated that the new legal framework has strengthened provisions for women’s safety and made filing complaints easier while ensuring faster delivery of justice.

“Our government has given topmost priority to women’s safety. We have framed stricter laws and introduced capital punishment for heinous crimes like rape,” Modi said.

He also mentioned reforms such as e-FIR provisions, which allow women to report crimes digitally, reducing procedural delays and ensuring immediate action.

Highlighting the larger vision of the government, PM Modi added, “India is walking on the path of women-led development. Empowered women will drive the country’s rapid progress.”

The event underscored the government’s decade-long efforts in creating a safer and more just environment for women, reinforcing its focus on gender justice and empowerment as a key pillar of India’s development.
