VP Dhankhar Was Not Shown Due Respect, May Have Resigned Due to Ongoing Trolling: Karnataka BJP Leader

Date:

Bengaluru — Reacting to the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Karnataka Legislative Council Leader of the Opposition and BJP leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy expressed concern over the treatment Dhankhar received during his tenure.

“I have seen it a lot of times that the members never respected him. He was sad about that,” Narayanaswamy said on Monday, hinting that repeated disregard by some Parliament members may have impacted the Vice President emotionally.

Commenting on the timing of the resignation, he added, “I don’t know why he immediately resigned. He was being trolled yesterday also.”

While Dhankhar cited health reasons in his resignation, political observers suggest that online criticism and a lack of bipartisan respect in the Rajya Sabha may have contributed to his sudden decision.

Dhankhar’s departure from one of the country’s highest constitutional posts has triggered a wave of speculation, with leaders across the spectrum expressing surprise and concern over the circumstances surrounding his resignation.
