Congress Leadership Struggling to Manage Affairs, Says Former Union Minister Sadananda Gowda

Date:

Bengaluru, Karnataka: Commenting on the expected meeting between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, former Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda criticised the Congress leadership, stating that both the state and central leadership are unable to manage the party’s internal affairs.

Gowda remarked,

“Neither the Congress leaders of Karnataka, nor the central leaders are in a position to manage the affairs at present. They are totally desperate. The only alternative left is to go to a breakfast or a dinner meeting. Apart from that, they are not in a position to come to any conclusion.”

His statement comes amid ongoing discussions and reported disagreements within the Karnataka Congress over governance issues and political coordination between the CM and DCM.

The former minister suggested that the frequent informal meetings between the top state leaders reflect deeper organisational challenges. He added that the party’s lack of clarity and decision-making has left it struggling to present a unified approach on critical matters of governance.

Gowda’s comments add to the growing political discourse in Karnataka as the opposition continues to target the ruling Congress government over internal rifts and administrative performance.
