The Central Government has notified the “Natural Gas and Petroleum Products Distribution Order, 2026” under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 to strengthen natural gas infrastructure and improve ease of doing business in the sector.

Order Comes into Immediate Effect

  • Reduced administrative discretion
  • Greater clarity for stakeholders

It also includes provisions like “deemed approvals” to ensure timely clearances and eliminate procedural delays.

Boost to Investment and Sustainable Growth
