Bengaluru, Karnataka – Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra has come out in staunch defense of the central government, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi amidst criticisms regarding allocations to Karnataka in the recent budget. Mr. Vijayendra emphasized the substantial contributions made by the central government towards infrastructure and development projects in the state, urging against politicizing budgetary matters.
Speaking to the press, Mr. BY Vijayendra highlighted the significant investments made by the central government in Karnataka’s infrastructure, particularly in metro projects and other developmental initiatives. “The central government, under the leadership of PM Modi and FM Nirmala Sitharaman, has allocated thousands of crores for infrastructure projects, including metros and various development initiatives,” he stated, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing Karnataka’s infrastructure landscape.
Mr. Vijayendra expressed dismay over what he perceived as unfair criticisms directed towards PM Modi and FM Nirmala Sitharaman. “Despite these contributions, repeatedly blaming PM Modi and FM Nirmala Sitharaman is unfair,” he asserted, calling for a constructive approach towards leveraging central support for Karnataka’s developmental aspirations.
In response to recent political discourse surrounding budget allocations, Mr. BY Vijayendra urged Karnataka’s Chief Minister to engage proactively with the central government to secure additional funds for the state. “Instead of politicizing the budget, the CM should convince the central government and bring more money to Karnataka,” he suggested, advocating for collaborative efforts to maximize the state’s developmental potential.
Furthermore, Mr. Vijayendra applauded the budget’s role in laying a robust foundation for the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). “This budget laid a strong foundation for the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’,” he affirmed, highlighting the strategic initiatives aimed at fostering national growth and prosperity.
