Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the passage of a bill by Parliament, stating that it further strengthens the country’s examination system.
On Thursday, PM Modi shared a video message on the social media platform ‘X’, addressing the nation’s youth. Reiterating the government’s firm stance on reforming the examination system and combating paper leaks, he declared that “paper mafias” and gangs involved in leaking exam papers would not be spared at any cost.
A task force has been constituted, and a fast-track mechanism is being established
He said, “The central and state governments are continuously taking steps to create a world-class examination system. A task force has been formed for this purpose, and a fast-track mechanism is being put in place. Suggestions from the states are also being incorporated. For decades, both state and central governments have grappled with the issue of paper leaks, which has jeopardised the future of students.”
PM Modi emphasised that reforming the education system nationwide has become imperative
The Prime Minister stressed, “Keeping all these factors in mind, reforming the education system across the country has become essential. The role of the central government and all state governments is crucial in this regard.” PM Modi advocated for the extensive use of technology, noting that leveraging technology is vital to making the examination process transparent and secure.
A bill containing stringent laws and provisions has been passed
Outlining the government’s measures, the Prime Minister mentioned that a strict bill (the Anti-Paper Leak Amendment Bill) had been introduced in Parliament. He said, “As I had promised you, Honourable Members of Parliament held a detailed discussion on this in both Houses over the past two days and have passed this bill, which incorporates stringent laws and provisions.”

PM Modi remarked that the passage of this bill marks the completion of a significant step towards establishing a world-class examination system. However, he clarified that the work would not stop there. Continuous efforts will be made to further strengthen the examination system. He appealed to the youth to join hands in realising the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
He said, “We will not allow such conditions to persist for long. With this conviction, let us move forward shoulder to shoulder to fulfil the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.”
