Bengaluru – Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra has launched a strong criticism of the Congress party, alleging that they are struggling to meet the financial commitments tied to their election guarantees. Addressing a public gathering, Vijayendra accused Congress of mismanaging finances and failing to deliver on their promises in states where they hold power.
“In reality, they (Congress) are struggling without money for their guarantees,” Vijayendra stated, referring to the financial strain caused by the party’s promises made during elections. He pointed to Telangana, where, according to him, Congress has been unable to fulfill its commitments related to employee salaries, and accused the party of using flawed financial models.
Vijayendra further highlighted the situation in Himachal Pradesh, claiming that the Congress-led government in the state has resorted to taking funds from temples to meet its financial obligations. “In Himachal Pradesh, they are taking money from temples to raise salaries,” he said, questioning the financial management of Congress and its handling of public resources.
The BJP leader also took a dig at the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, calling out his inability to manage the state’s finances despite his experience. “An experienced CM has stumbled in financial matters,” he remarked.
Vijayendra’s comments reflect growing concerns within the BJP about Congress’s ability to deliver on its promises, particularly in the context of its election guarantees, which are often seen as financially unsustainable without a solid plan for revenue generation.
